An article published in Water & Wastewater International in May 2005 discussing the results of the first commercial-scale trial of MicroSludge.

An independent industry study by the Water Environment Research Federation “WERF Odor Study Phase III: Impacts of the MicroSludge Process on Odor Causing Compounds” by Dr. Novak et al., 2007, found that MicroSludge reduced the odor of co-digested residuals by more than 50%, and almost completely eliminated odors from WAS-only digested sludge.
